Build Your Own Calzones and Strombolis at Boardwalk Pizza
Boardwalk Pizza serves freshly made calzones and strombolis straight off the boardwalk. If you’re looking for the best calzones in Fairfield NJ, we’re the place to visit! Our dough is always fresh – never frozen. We come in early each day to hand roll the dough in preparation for our various creations, which include pan pizza, deep dish pizza and calzones and strombolis. Our marinara sauce is also made fresh daily and includes Italian herbs and spices along with our sweet plum tomatoes.
All fillings are cut fresh daily. If you’re a cheese lover, you can stick to plain cheese, which is tasty enough on its own. Most customers choose to add a couple of fillings to make their own unique stromboli or calzone. We love to see the various combinations our customers come up with!
Our list of fillings include:
Ham, Sausage, Pepperoni, Meatballs, Bacon, Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Black olives, Extra cheese, Broccoli, Grilled, pulled or chicken cutlet
How Many Servings are in a Calzone or Stromboli?
Here at Boardwalk Pizza, our portions are generous! Split them with a good friend or bring home the leftovers for another delicious meal. Or if you’re appetite is big for the day, by all means, indulge! Usually, our calzones and strombolis serve two people.
Our best calzones and strombolis in Fairfield NJ start off with round pizza dough that is folded in half. Eating a full one is like eating a small pizza! Hey, if you can do it, we’re not here to judge! But, if you want to make your dish healthier, stuff it with plenty of veggies and go lighter on the cheese. Also, opt to have your calzone baked, not fried. Our calzones and strombolis taste delicious when paired with one of our salads.
However you choose to eat your calzone or stromboli is fine with us. Our portions are generous, our dough is fresh and our fillings are plentiful, so you will definitely leave feeling satisfied. If you do stop into our restaurant, enjoy our bright, spacious seating area, nostalgic arcade and an order of our famous Zeppoles dusted in powdered sugar.
